Welcoming a baby to your home when you have pets can be stressful for all parties involved, but it can also be extremely rewarding.
What’s better than seeing your new baby develop a friendship and bond with your furbabies?
Dogs can sometimes be watchful companions to a small baby, and some have even been nicknamed “nanny dogs,” for how well they nurture and watch children – just like a nanny!
Cats, on the other hand, develop their own unique relationships with babies and young children. Sometimes they want to show the baby that they’re the king or queen of the house, but sometimes their nurturing side kicks in and they want someone to cuddle and play with.
What happens, though, if you introduce a dog and a cat to a baby at the same time? It could be chaotic, but for one special family, the moment was nothing short of magic.
In a video shared on social media, a gentle puppy can be seen carefully cuddling a tiny baby. On top of the dog is a small kitten, seemingly keeping watch of the baby from her perch.
Pebbles the Ragdoll kitten, Nelda the 8-month-old Labrador, and Elsarose the 6-week-old baby are already fast on their way to being inseparable friends.
The video of them together is like something out of a fairytale.
