Dogs are members of the family, and they like to be treated as such. For instance, most dogs don’t appreciate rules like, “no dogs on the couch,” or “no begging at the dinner table.”
After all, it doesn’t seem fair when the people of the house get to eat human food and lounge on the sofa!
Alas, Reuben the bulldog knows the struggles of being a dog in a human-run world. He lives in a cozy house with a loving family, but even then, life doesn’t always seem fair.
Take, for instance, when Reuben spots his owner relaxing on the couch, but his owner won’t let him join in!
An adorable video captured Reuben’s protests to the situation and it’s quite hilarious. In the video, you can see Reuben try to hop up on the couch where his owner is laying, but he’s not quite tall enough to make it.
He does his best to convince his owner to let him up, by letting out a soft whine, but his owner doesn’t give in. The dog then sprays his owner with “cheese smelling…mucus,” before begrudgingly walking to his dog bed.
“Well look at that, how novel. He is actually using his own bed. For once,” Reuben’s owner can be heard saying in the video.
You’d think that’d be the end of it, but Reuben continues to let his owner knows his feelings about the situation by letting out a few disgruntled barks and whines.
