Dogs are incredibly smart and sometimes they’re brighter than we give them credit for.
Anyone whose been around poodles, in particular, knows just how clever they can be. Sometimes, their antics are almost human-like, which was the case with Violet the poodle.
Violet has a sibling, a Goldendoodle named Nutmeg. We’re not sure who’s older, but based on Violet’s favorite game, it’s clear that she plays the role of big sister.
Like any good sister might do, Violet loves to tease Nutmeg but she does so in a loving, playful way.

Their owner captured the moment Violet was playing her favorite game, “keep away,” with Nutmeg in the living room of their San Tan Valley home in Arizona.
As the name suggests, the game involves Violet the poodle teasing Nutmeg with a toy.
In the video, you can see Violet holding a toy in her mouth and getting close to Nutmeg, as if to share it. However, at the last minute, Violet pulls the toy back and keeps it away from Nutmeg. Hence the name, “keep away.”
It may sound like a mean game, but it seems that both dogs enjoy getting in on the fun, even if Violet is always the winner.
