Earlier this year when the world was in the middle of its first lockdown, my best friend ended up adopted a trio of homeless fancy rats.
Since then, she has sent me nonstop videos of her adorable little rodents. Apparently, rats are quite clever as well as incredibly affectionate. It has definitely changed my perception of rats.
Unfortunately, rats don’t have the best reputations in the world. When we think of rats, we often associate them with the vicious sewer rats lurking in the shadows just waiting to share their bubonic plague with humanity. But that isn’t what rats are like.

They can actually be quite cute. Think Ratatouille. Rats aren’t the scary, disease-ridden rodents that they’re often portrayed as. And the following video is the perfect proof of that.

In the adorable footage, one proud owner shows off just how cute their little baby rat can be as it happily noshes away on some spaghetti.
While we might think that human babies are cute when they play around with the stringy noodles, they have nothing on the cuteness that is a baby rat with a string of spaghetti.
Watching the video of the little rat slurping up noodles twice his size is pretty hilarious.
