South Korean Tattoo Artist Creates Adorable Portraits Of Dogs And Cats

While getting tattoos in South Korea isn’t illegal, the country’s laws require that they must be done by a licensed medical doctor.

However, this doesn’t mean that plenty of tattoo shops have opened across the country since the law is rarely enforced. While the law was originally created as concern for public health regarding the spread of HIV amongst other illnesses, the government is looking towards a change.

This is, of course, excellent news for South Korean tattoo artists. There is one tattoo artist in particular who is gaining notoriety for their amazing artwork pieces.

The Seoul-based artist, Jiran, turns pictures of people’s pets into wonderful works of art. Jiran typically forgoes the highly-detailed portraits or designs in favor of something more fun and cartoonish creations.
