131 Pilot Whales Slaughtered In One Day During “Barbaric” Tradition On Faroe Islands

The sea around the Faroe Islands is stained red (once again) from the blood of hundreds of slaughtered whales as a tradition known as “Grindadrap” begins. The tradition dates back centuries when Viking ancestors killed whales as a way to feed the people, but that is not the case today. Woman Adopts Kitten With Vitiligo And Watches Her Amazing Transformation.

This story originally appeared at InspireMore . All cats have beautiful fur, but one feline has risen above the rest with her constantly changing appearance. Back in 2016, a woman from Germany was visiting a local farm when she found two scared kittens hiding in a barn. They were in bad shape, but Nicole took them home anyway. After all, she had been thinking about getting a cat, so why not go for two? Photo: Instagram/elli.vitiligo’s Nicole fell completely in love with the sweet tuxedo-colored sisters as she nursed them back to health. She named them Elli and Rosie and gave them a forever home. Instead, more patches appeared over several months until they covered Elli’s entire body....

Bull Moose Charges At Colorado Hiker Who Got Too Close

Moose are not typically aggressive animals, but can charge at a moment’s notice if provoked. One person experienced this firsthand as they were hiking in Clear Creek County, Colorado. The individual was walking along a trail when they encountered a bull moose grazing by a large tree. Fascinated by the massive animal, the hiker pulled out a phone and started to record the moose. Photo: Pixabay/ Diane Klettke But a few moments later the moose lifted its head and charged. Thankfully, no one was harmed. The hiker hid behind a tree and the moose hit that instead. The entire incident was captured on video and shared by Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) as a warning to others to keep their distance from wildlife. This video is an example of being too close to a bull moose and how quickly they can decide to charge on you. It is from Clear Creek County. The individual just by chance came upon the bull walking along a willow bottom heading towards a lake. pic.twitter.com/Z2usuHpPit ...
